Taking stock of tourism in the Sustainable Development Goals

To mark this year's World Tourism Day on 27 September 2023, and in view of the mid-term review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Transforming Tourism Initiative (TTI) has asked ten authors to take stock of the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs. The authors from civil society and academia describe current challenges and perspectives for the tourism industry. The contributions confirm that tourism still has a great need for transformation towards sustainability. At the same time, the contributions show how change can be initiated so that tourism can make a positive contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
