Tanzania is not only a popular destination for people from Germany and a long-standing partner in development cooperation; the two countries are also intertwined by a colonial past. Traces of this violent period remain visible in many places. In a trilingual decolonial travel guide, numerous authors from Tanzania and Germany present sites of remembrance and provide insights into colonial continuities. The guide accompanies you on a journey of listening, unlearning, and understanding, and invites you to a sustainable, solidarity-based, future-oriented, decolonial form of tourism.
The printed edition of the Decolonial Travel Guide Tanzania will be available from mid-October for the cost of shipping at www.tanzania-network.de/en; a digital edition can be downloaded from 1 October at www.decolonial-travel-guide-tanzania.com.
