International Tourism Exchange (ITB) Berlin, 10 – 14 March, 2010

ITB Berlin 2010 will take place from 10th to 14th March. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are reserved for trade visitors. From 10th to 12th March, the ITB Berlin Congress will take place parallel to the trade fair, with "Corporate Social Responsibility Day" on 11th March, 11 am - 5.40 pm.

EED TourismWatch will have a stall at ITB in hall 4.1 (no. 204).

Friday, 12th March, 2010, 1 pm - 2.45 pm, exhibition area "Experience Adventure, Ecotourism & Expeditions" in Hall 4.1. Presentations and Panel Discussion "Fair Play - also in Tourism!? Corporate Social Responsibility in Practice".

1.        "The Code": News from the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism
Mechtild Maurer, ECPAT Germany, presents initial results of an exclusive single question in the "Reiseanalyse 2010". International ECPAT partners talk about their experiences with the Code in the destinations.

2.        Not only football - Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa. Jennifer Seif and Katarina Mancama, Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa, and companies involved talk about their experiences with certification and about market potentials in Germany and Switzerland.

3.        TourCert: "CSRcertified" - Transparency and Credibility
Presentations of certified enterprises by Angela Giraldo, Heinz Fuchs and trained CSR managers
